Skywork Airlines to connect Bern with Vienna

SkyWork Airlines has announced the start of services between it's headquarter in Bern and Vienna from September 5th, 2011. The frequency has not yet been announced, but the company is talking of "several flights a week". It was also not revealed, if the route will be served by Dornier 328 aircraft or by Bombardier Q400 turboprops.

The new service to Vienna is part of SkyWork's new expansion strategy, which will also see new routes from Bern to Amsterdam, Belgrade, Budapest, Madrid, Milan and Rome.

Skywork already is serving Barcelona, Berlin, Hamburg, London City and Palma de Mallorca from it's hub in Bern. The fleet will grow from currently one Bombardier Q400 and one Dornier 328-110 to three Dornier 328 and two Q400 over the next months. A third Q400 is expected to be added to the fleet at the beginning of 2012.
