Low cost carrier Niki has announced it's expansion plans for 2010. The fleet, which presently consists of 12 aircraft (2 A321, 6 A320, 2 A319, 2 E190) will be increased to 16 with the addition of one Airbus 320 and three Embraer 190.

Driven by an increase in passengers by about 25 percent for the current year, several new destinations and frequencies are planned to be introduced in the near future.

Starting in November 2009 a third daily flight to Frankfurt will be on offer. February 2010 will see the introduction of Belgrade, Bucharest and Sofia to Niki's network. From summer 2010 a third daily frequency to Paris will be added and bigger equipment will be introduced on the route to Rome.

The touristic segment will experience an additional growth. From February 2010 a new nonstop flight to Jerez de la Frontera will be introduced. New flights to Olbia (twice weekly) and Cagliari (one flight per week) will provide better connections to Sardinia in Italy. Additionally the capacity on charter flights to Greece Spain and Turkey will be increased.
